Mongolia – Bayasgalant

In Ulaanbaatar’s ger district, Bayasgalant has long worked with children and families who had little access to safe housing and early education. Fondation Rolf Schnyder supported that work with a children’s home completed in 2013 and a kindergarten on the same site in 2014.

The kindergarten served the district for more than a decade. It closed in September 2025 because the need had been met: the city had opened state kindergartens and could offer every child a free place. Bayasgalant has since used the site for community social work and parent support.

Day-to-day care has remained Bayasgalant’s work. The Foundation helped put the facilities in place.
