Malaysia – ChildSafe

ChildSafe Malaysia is a child safeguarding initiative supported by Fondation Rolf Schnyder. It helps schools, educators, parents and local communities recognise risk early and respond in a practical, consistent way.

The Foundation’s role is to support training and locally embedded protection work, rather than to operate as a standalone rescue service. The aim is that safeguarding knowledge stays with the people already closest to the children.

How this works

Training for educators and caregivers. ChildSafe provides structured training so adults working with children can recognise vulnerability, identify risk, and respond in a trauma-informed way.

Safety education for children. Age-appropriate sessions help children understand personal boundaries, recognise when something is wrong, and know how to seek help.

Reach since 2019

549+ educators trained

15,334+ children reached through school and community work

These figures reflect training and outreach delivered through schools and community partners in Malaysia.
