Digital Technologies Seniors Programme (DTSP)-Malaysia.
The Digital Technologies Seniors Programme (DTSP) is a Fondation Rolf Schnyder initiative, developed and delivered in Malaysia through Persatuan Kebajikan Rolf Schnyder. It helps older adults navigate digital technology safely and confidently.
Program & Partnerships.
Curriculum. The DTSP curriculum is developed by Fondation Rolf Schnyder in partnership with Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, combining academic research with practical teaching methods. Modules are evaluated on an ongoing basis to build lasting community capacity.
Government endorsement. The programme has been formally endorsed by the Sarawak Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development (KPWK) as a model for generational digital inclusion.
Recognition.
- InTEX Gold Medal (Social Sciences & Humanities). Awarded for the research-backed methodology behind the PKRS–Swinburne intergenerational model.
- SDEA Finalist — Digital Inclusivity. Recognized for its work bridging generational digital divides.
- Ministerial Endorsement. Commended by YB Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah for its impact on senior wellbeing, risk mitigation, and social cohesion.
- Vice-Chancellor’s Future-Focused Award. Recognized by Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak for the programme’s role in community-led digital learning.
Impact.
Digital independence. Rather than one-off workshops, DTSP is a standing programme. It teaches seniors practical skills for everyday digital life: safe financial transactions, accessing government services online, and recognizing cyber fraud.
Continuity. The programme is built into existing senior centres and community organizations, so it continues as part of community life rather than depending on a separate structure.
